Capstone Description:

The South Carolina team seeks to employ a culture change effort that focuses on SCDJJ’s values of integrity, loyalty, diversity, respect, and compassion. In partnership with youth, staff, and community organizations, the team will implement a practice model and a common language to be used in all five SC DJJ facilities that incorporate these values and are grounded in the principles of positive youth development.

Capstone Description:

To encourage the implementation of formal court diversion programs, particularly for truant youth, through developing a diversion guidebook and providing training and technical assistance on diversion program development for sites that are interested in creating a diversion program. Targets truancy diversion programs.
