Meet the Teacher

Hello! 

My name is  Jillian Verblaauw and I am so excited to be a band teacher here at Grace N. Rogers Elementary School.  

This is my seventh year teaching music and I am thrilled to have the best job in the world!

I graduated from The College of New Jersey in 2017, where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education, with a concentration in clarinet.

I recently completed my Masters in Music Education at Teachers College, Columbia University in 2021. 

My hobbies include spending time with my family, friends and puppy, learning more about the instruments I teach, reading Harry Potter, playing board games and relaxing on the beach.
