Dear 4th Graders,
My name is Ms. Bekefi and I am thrilled to welcome you our 4th grade class! Fourth grade is my favorite grade to teach because it brings so many opportunities for all of you! When I was a 4th grader, back in 2001, my favorite subject was math, I finally became a confident reader, and I made lifelong memories with people I still talk to. As we embark on our journey together this year we will focus on making new friends, discovering new interests, learning about different subjects, learning about ourselves (as well as each other) and accomplishing goals.
I started my educational journey in Vernon Twp., NJ and went on to study Elementary Education at The College of New Jersey, also called TCNJ. I graduated from TCNJ with my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in S.T.E.M. This will be my seventh year teaching 4th grade and my tenth year in East Windsor. You can read about some of my favorites and hobbies on the left, but you will notice that many of those items focus on reading. Reading holds a special place in my heart because I was a reluctant reader, until I found the right book. Now, our class library can speak for how much I LOVE to read! Unlike my learned love of reading I ALWAYS loved to sing. There is so much more to me than what's here, but I'll save some facts for when I meet you in person.

Welcome,
This is my 8th year teaching in East Windsor and 6th year working at GNR. I studied elementary and special education at Rutgers University! My favorite subject is math. This summer I got married and traveled to Jamaica. I live in Somerville, NJ with my husband.
This year, you will grow as readers, learn amazing new things like multiplication and division and have a blast. I am so thrilled to have you in my class this year and cannot wait to meet you! It is going to be a very exciting year!
