Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Magnetic cores are being cut in the water jet using a low-carbon steel
Design of Cores has been finalized to be 25mm distances between core centers, with a total height of just under 4 mm.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Found place to Anneal Super Alloy (Hiperco 50)
Printed New Bobbins for coiling
Finalized electronics layout within the module
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Fabricate new Coils for the new 9-coil magnetic core array -Ed,Nick
Design and print out new housings for the 9 coil array modules (3 seperate modules) - Sid
Wire all coils and electronics together, put everything into the housing and test -Jordan
Work on updating the Final Report - Chris

Specifically don't use metals that require heat treatment.
Gonna use some low carbon steel, forget about annealing.
Refining the shape and specific design of the plates and cores.
Iterating on case, plate, and array design to get the right shape and size within the week
Again, making the final product thin is the most important.
Keeping the stirrer within about 5 mm thickness, but trying to get it working.
Get parts machined if we need to. We have the money that we can do that if it saves us some time.
Potentially going to get the plates/cores machined. Coils can't be machined, we have to make them on lathes.
IKA uses ISO 2768 drawing standards
We will also use those drawing standards.

Needed a lot more content in the report, we had a very small amount.
Putting more content into the report, updating it.
The manufacturing method used depends both on the shape of the case, and how much will be produced. Some methods work better for producing more.
Considering this when designing the final model, may ask sponsor about it.
Design for abuse, not use. Keep extra safety measures in mind considering the final product will be used with chemicals.
Taking into account moving forward, considering extra safety measures.
For furnaces to anneal the magnetic core metal, contact various people in the MAE department.
Contacted them, found a furnace that works, but are checking with IKA first. May end up not using metal that requires annealing.

None.
Risks and Areas of Concern
The annealing process takes a long time, and requires us to cut down some pieces to smaller size. Probably gonna find a way to progress without using metal that requires annealing.
Resources or Information Required but not Available
None
Schedule
Get 9 coil array up and working with final dimensions and plates ASAP.
Get Raspberry Pi working ASAP.
Continue updating case design.
Update Gantt chart.
Budget (list amount spent and amount remaining)
Spent: $1,134.15
Remaining: $3,865.85
