Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Find a way to separate the current draw of the coils from the microcontroller.
This has been taken care of with the powerboost 500c charging board for the trinket module
The raspberry pi module will take 12V from the wall using a 12V adapter and we will use a 12V to 5V step down chip to convert the voltage for the Raspberry pi.
Comments from Other Students in the Class (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
None
Risks and Areas of Concern
Current draw is such that we will get only about 6.5 hours or so from the battery
At 5V the coils work okay, with decoupling speeds of around 1000 rpm
At 12V the coils work much better with decoupling speeds of about 1500 rpm
We bought a 12V step up board for the trinket module, but if we use it the battery life will drip to about 2-3 hours. Waiting on sponsors reply before we chose to implement 12V or not in the battery module.
