Sidney Cheng ’86 generously sponsored a showing of the documentary "The Heart of Nuba". Sidney’s former roommate at Brown, Ken Carlson, is a film producer who recently made a documentary about another Brown alum (who received an honorary degree in May 2016), Dr. Tom Catena, who has been spending his time saving lives in the Nuba Mountains of Sudan since 2011. Dr. Catena is the only doctor in this region, serving one million people. The film was screened at the Thayer Street Theatre (Avon Cinema) during their 30th reunion in 2016.
