Grade-Level Events

We hold a variety of Grade-Level Events with the goal of building a strong Broadmeadow community by allowing families a chance to interact outside of the school day. As a large school, we have found that holding these events works well. Most of these events are offered to Broadmeadow families for free. Some events charge a nominal fee, typically less than $5, to cover the costs of supplies or facility rentals.  Those events are indicated by a ($).

We are always looking for ideas for new events!  If you have an idea, please contact one of the Grade-Level Events Coordinators at GradeEvents@broadmeadowptc.org.

PTC Rep Program

Kindergarten Welcome Committee

The PTC wants to make the transition into Broadmeadow as smooth as possible for our new families.  Kindergarten is a big transition for both children and parents!  Over the summer, PTC volunteers reach out to new Kindergarten families to welcome them to the community. Lawn signs or door signs are distributed to each new kindergartner so that neighbors can welcome them to the school. Before school starts, the PTC hosts a play date for each Kindergarten class at Broadmeadow so that families can meet. Finally, the PTC organizes a parent coffee after drop-off on the first day of Kindergarten.

Kindergarten Event

The Kindergarten Event is held in the fall to allow kindergarten families to get to know each other.  Kids have previously completed a craft and then hunt for "pumpkins" on the playground or participated in a Trunk-Or-Treat.  

Kindergarten Movie Night

Get together with all of the kindergarten families in the Performance Center on a Friday evening in the spring to enjoy a movie and popcorn!

1st Grade Game Night

Join fellow 1st graders and their families in the cafeteria for family-friendly games.  This is a great chance to meet other 1st grade families!

2nd Grade Glow Party 

Join 2nd grade families for a special parent/child night in the winter for a glow party.

3rd and 4th Grade Carnival

Students participate in fun carnival games, enjoy carnival food, and more! 

5th Grade Color War

It is their final year at Broadmeadow!  Join 5th graders and their families for a fun, colorful evening.

5th Grade Class Day Luncheon

Each year, 5th grade parent volunteers organize a luncheon for the 5th grade students on Class Day in June. On Class Day, 5th grade teachers lead a short ceremony for the 5th grade students and their families.  The ceremony includes a photo slideshow including pictures of all 5th graders from each of their years at Broadmeadow.  This is a lovely event that caps our student's years at Broadmeadow.
