Creative Effects: digital
In photography, it's all about the light. It all depends on the effect you want to produce-- the correct light, the right amount of light, extra light, "moving" light, and maybe almost no light! Think about atmosphere, mood, movement, reflections/shadows, and in camera effects. Use digital technology to enhance your light/effect but not create it. Create your main effect in the camera and then basic adjustments in photoshop to refine your final images.
