You are required to develop a strong body of work that illustrates reflective problem solving, intentional imagery and meaningful theme development.

You should be highly motivated and diligently working at all times.

All writing and research should be thorough and presented in a professional format.

Conceptbook----- grade according to rubric; see project page


Research--- various techniques/styles/approaches—15

Grading criteria—2 points for each based on completion and details of research/complexity of idea and knowledge/understanding of materials and instructions involved.

Portfolio---- strong body of work: personal connection, unique point of view, artist statements and support elements

* Images

* based on theme; each of different technique/style/approach—3 per week on average

* 15+ images (each of different technique/style/approach)

* 35mm and/or digital

* Participation in gallery show (if applicable)

* Grading criteria—letter grade feedback given based on:

1) clarity of visual and conceptual approach to image

2) sophistication of technique and overall quality

3) artistic behavior: use of time/preparation/problem solving/ownership
