Second Grade Newsletter 10/19/2012

Thank you again for meeting with us last week for conferences. It is always encouraging to meet with you and learn more about your child. Thank you so much for your time.

We are looking forward to our trip to Mazzotti Farms on Tuesday, October 30th! Parents if you would like to attend there will be a charge of $2.50 at the farm itself. We will need some parents who will be willing to transport our catapults. Please let us know if you are willing to help out. We will be learning about pollination, prairie dogs, and launching pumpkins using the catapults we are currently building!

Judith Miller Smith from the Prairie Dog Coalition visited today to teach us about prairie dogs! Next week we will have a visit from the Northglenn Police Department to talk about safety with the students. We are also looking forward to our visit with Dr. Judy Wang from Colorado School of Mines to design and build walls!
