Vision
Family@Barker has a long tradition of close collaboration with the school. This has enabled Family@Barker and the school to complement and enhance each other’s strengths, thus developing a symbiotic relationship in which we shape a common vision by achieving our goals and enriching the school environment.
Mission
To nourish the spirit and well-being of the students, teachers, staff and fellow parents of ACS (Barker Road).
Through its regular interactions with the students, parents and the school administration, Family@Barker strives to provide an effective channel of communication between parents and the school, gather evaluative responses and render assistance when required.
Family@Barker also provides a platform for the school to explain important education and curriculum policies.
Family@Barker endeavours to build a strong network for the school, its families and the community. It initiates and conducts programmes that promote moral awareness, and mutual respect for self and the community.
Family@Barker is thus a group of parent volunteers with diverse abilities and initiatives, committed to upholding the school and strengthening ties in this collaborative effort.

The “f” on the left stands for Family@Barker and red represents the importance of family to a growing teenager; whilst the “b” on the right symbolises the gentlemen at Barker with the blue representing the ACS environment.
Just as how the “f” and “b” come together to form an apple, Family@Barker and ACS (Barker Rd) nurture our sons and inculcate in them the values that will guide them through life. The logo also resembles a heart and that represents our love for our sons.
Together, parents and staff of ACS (Barker Road) complement each other’s efforts to help our children grow and achieve beyond what we can teach them.
