Use a pencil to draw or trace a heart on to the front of the card. (A cookie cutter makes a great template!)
Unfold the card and place it on top of a scrap piece of cardboard.
Use an awl, toothpick, or other sharp tool to poke evenly spaced holes along the pencil line.
Erase the pencil line.
Thread the needle. Starting at the top hole, insert the needle from the back of the card.
Use a piece of tape to secure the loose end on the back.
Flip the card over again and thread the needle through the hole at the opposite end of the heart.
Keep threading, moving the needle over one hole at a time on the back.
Continue until you’ve sewn through all the holes.
Cut the thread and use another piece of tape to secure on the back.
