People's Thoughts on AI

It's 2025 and AI is getting bigger than ever. Tons of people are using it and it's helping a ton of people make art, get ideas, fix photos and more! But what are the bad sides of AI? If there are so many good things about it what could possibly make AI not worth it. We will be answering all of these questions in this article, and take a deep dive into what AI is, what its benefits are, and what makes some people think it's so terrible.

First let me explain my thoughts on AI then we are going to look into Others opinions too. Now I think AI is more good than bad. Every day it gets more realistic, and the fact that some people especially in the older group can't tell that it's not real is very scary. Also, people could use it to frame other people for crimes they didn't do, it could take jobs, and it could make humanity dumber, in my opinion. To fix these problems we would need to have laws and heavy restrictions on AI and that would take a long time to accomplish, and still there are always people who find ways to take restrictions off or break the laws and or rules. 

But, then why do I think AI is more good than bad? Well, AI is currently revolutionizing medicine for humankind, which is the biggest thing, and it's also helping people do things like edit photos, get new ideas and also discover much more knowledge that would take humans years to think of on their own. Like I said, the biggest one is definitely medicine. Scientists and medical professionals say it could even help stop or make better medicine for some forms of cancer! 

Now lets look at other articles and peoples opinions, first were going to look at the article “How Americans View AI and Its Impact on People and Society” In the article, it gives us some key take aways. These takeaways are “Americans are much more concerned than excited about the increased use of AI. Far larger shares says AI will erode than improve people’s ability to think creatively” which was basically what I said in the beginning. People are scared that AI is going to make them dumber, because people will stop doing stuff and make AI do it instead. 

In the article it also says that “Most Americans don’t support AI playing a role in personal matters such as religion or matchmaking. Americans feel strongly that it’s important to be able to tell if pictures, videos or text were made by AI or by humans.” This is very important and goes with what I said at the start too, because what if AI gets to the point that people cannot tell if it's real, and then others use it to frame people for thugs they did not do. So it is very important to tell, and also it says that AI is getting into matchmaking and religion which people are uncomfortable with also, because AI is getting into their very personal life. 

But let's look at the good in AI too. There definitely is some! AI, as I said, is helping make medicine for people and much more. In the article it says “At the same time, a majority is open to letting AI assist them with day-to-day tasks and activities. They’re more open to AI for heavy data analysis, such as for weather forecasting and developing new medicines.” This shows that AI is helping people with small day to day tasks like making a shopping list or ideas of what to do that night. They also like its weather forecasting and that is huge because it could even save lives by predicting weather. 

Then, last is the one I mentioned which is the medicine that AI is revolutionizing. Will all this be your every day and we could save tens of thousands of lives with new medicine and also much better weather forecasting, because to us hurricanes are still very unpredictable and many other natural disasters. 

In the end, I believe that AI is more bad than good as of this moment. But I do believe in the future when we have laws and restrictions and put AI in the right hands it can be used for amazing things, mainly the weather and medicine. If we can keep AI strictly for these purposes all the bad could virtually be taken out of it in my opinion. But what do you think? Is AI good or bad and if bad can it ever become good?
