Palouse Collections
Since 1976 I have lived in the north central region of Idaho called the Palouse. It is known for its open, rolling cultivated fields, but also includes mountains, canyons and continuous forest. Arriving here from populated Pennsylvania, I was fascinated by gravel and dirt country roads. I have spent years exploring them, making drawings along the way. I’ve also drawn my own country backyard, which really is visited by moose most years. Calligraphy Near My House and Primaries are photocopy pieces based on the landscape. The rest of the works are archival digital prints; some include objects drawn in the Appaloosa Museum & Heritage Center in Moscow, Idaho. You will find many other images from the Palouse in the Installation section of this website.
