The fallacy of solace

One is mesmerized by what others are doing or what others have done in any field. We are carried away as if some one has comfortably solved the enigma of life. This gives comfort, solace, hope to the mind as if some permanent solution lies somewhere. Can the brain be so activated so as to see the fallacy of this comfort, solace, hope? This activation throws you in a fluid field where all your certainties, conclusions are washed away. You are alone. All the crutches you were holding (including the idea of God or some ultimate controlling principle) are taken away from you. You do not know the ground on which you are standing, you do not know if there is ground under your feet. Life force takes over. You see yourself as the total field of Existence.
