‘I can do it. I will do it. I should do it. I must do it. Why negativity happened to me? Why others do not behave as I want? Why the outcome differs from what I expect? And so on.’ These questions essentially demand a comforting answer or are the product as if a comforting answer exists. Seeing this (that is, disregarding the need for a comforting answer) concentrates the total energy. Now any action is creation. |

No one can aspire for liberation. It is not a point from
here to there. One is seeking stable pleasure, freedom from suffering in the
name of liberation. This is the limit of the mind, it can not ask for more.
Liberation is to see the ground, where pleasure and pain are not as something
friendly and alien, but are the contrasting features to let the life move on.
One is bound to this duality. To see that there is no way to come out, opens up
to the limitless.
The
point is -mind will always ask for stable pleasure, even when it asks for
liberation- as something satisfactory. It is only when it sees its limit that
something happens.

Understanding
can not end at a satisfactory point.
Any
relaxed and conscious action (or
no- action) in
any direction is the culmination of understanding.
It
is like complete experimenting with one self without depending upon any outer
agency or idea or conclusion.
You
can not come out, be free of action.
You can be free of the bondage of action as compulsion
and result as relief.
Now
ANY action in ANY direction is creation.

We
are always in the Now. And you have no way of feeling comfortable about
future, result NOW. This is a sort of friction that future should be
solved Now.
When one is clear that this is impossible, mind is relieved of this attempt. Action is relaxed and conscious.
Mind
wants to confirm the security of the next moment, future. So it loses
touch with the present. ‘Now’ and future are related in a tense mode.
Mind under the illusion tries to solve this tension by theorizing, by
explanations.

Life rewards you not because you know more or put more
efforts or you have theories and philosophies about life or you know what is
good or what is bad, or you know what is sacred or what is profane. But because
you are interested in Life, interested in every aspect of Life, interested in
what comes before you, interested in what you call even in minor things. Y V Chawla

Physical fear, danger which is
before one can be dealt with, has to be dealt with. Psychological fear,
insecurity, anxiety, confusion is there because something can not be dealt with
now. It is there because you want to feel comfortable now in respect of
something, which can not be solved, dealt with now. At this moment, you have no
option but to bear it, absorb it (fear and so on). Suddenly, there is opening. Y V Chawla

The fact is that these
negativities are painful to you.
Can you bear this pain
without resorting to any complaining, blaming, feeling guilty or introducing
the idea of God, non-doership or any other theory?
One wants to run away,
escape the pain of negativities (or one does not feel the pain) by coining ideas.
One does not see the pain as
it is.
This seeing as it is
concentrates the energy.
You get to know the Truth,
the Truth of Existence.
Negativities can not be
wished away, one has to bear their friction, pain. There is no escape.
Now your action in ANY direction is creative.

Thought (essentially through verbalization) and instinct (actual arising in the body and brain) are always in fighting mode.
Thought wants to win the fight by suppression or indulgence.
Understanding dawns when this attempt is spontaneously aborted. There arises a fused compromise between thought and instinct.
“I want to eat sugar. Thought comes in and stops that it is not good
for health. Now if I do not eat sugar, there is friction in the mind.
If I do not eat it, I am satisfied that I have controlled my senses. To
overcome the friction of not eating, I want to convert it into my
satisfaction of winning over my senses. This satisfaction is also a
friction as it involves sacrificing the taste of sugar.
Can I watch that whatever side I choose, it will cause friction? Can
I ignore this game of the mind, which wants to allure me, satisfy me
in some thing or some idea? Can you watch the futility of selecting any
side?
Just see one thing is sure to happen, you will eat sugar or you will not.
Can you step back and see the workings of your mind?
Can you ignore the satisfaction given by eating sugar or leaving
sugar? The factual taste of sugar, which your senses sense has little
to do with this game of the mind. The game of the mind is to drag you
towards some satisfaction continuously.
Can you be aware of this mechanism?
The satisfaction enjoyed by you whether by eating or leaving sugar
is sure to boomerang. It is always partial as the friction is looming
side by side this satisfaction. The awareness of this mechanism is an
invitation to ‘wholeness’ to operate. It will not matter whether the
result is eating sugar or leaving sugar. You enjoy a sense of freeness
by ignoring the satisfaction. This freedom is not dependent upon
results.”- From You are Trapped. |

All spirituality and so on
attract you because you are not interested in your work, in what you are doing.
One is not interested in action, but wants to arrive at through results. Now
one searches arriving point, the complacent point through spirituality, idea of
God and so on. It seeks ways, solutions, options.
Spirituality is a hit on
the mind that the complacent point, the permanent solution is an illusion.
The understanding puts you
back where action arises because one is to do it or one wants to do it and not
to feel the comfort of ‘should be’, theory, ideation, philosophy. Every action
becomes experimentation not to reach at an end but to rejoice in
experimentation.
If spirituality gives you
comfort against your normal life-you become bound to spirituality as a relief
item. You are stuck up.
To be aware of this
bondage is the opening.

One does not like to be
free because in total freedom, you do not have a reference point to bank upon.
The comfort of depending upon past, experience, others’ words, history, data is
not available.
One does not want to leave
this comfort as this is known, may be harmful. The comfort of the known
overwhelms one.
One fears one may go
wrong. One wants (apart from technical help) confirmation, support from others,
others’ words. One does not act with total responsibility.
When one absorbs the fear
of going wrong, as this fear can not be undone- one regains one’s Original
position.
Now one intends, acts and
sees what emerges from moment to moment. One has become the creative impulse of
the Universe. Y V Chawla
