No flawless Choice

One wants satisfactory answers to such questions.

Arjuna faced a dilemma in the battlefield, whether to fight or not. Krishna told him that seeking a satisfactory answer to this is not an issue.

There is no flawless choice. But you have to act. Not acting (in this case not fighting ) is also an act.

When one understands that there is no flawless choice, one is hinged on to uncertainty. There is no way this uncertainty can be solved. (This is what you may call surrender, one is helpless). This understanding relaxes the brain at the peak of energy . There dawns clarity, action becomes relaxed, comfort in itself.

Such an action does not have a residue, it is complete.

One wants to come out the game (+,-, winning, losing) by satisfactory answers.

There is no way to come out.

Mind has to take the jerk of this fact.

The mystery of life can not be bound by any satisfactory answers.

It is a trap of the mind to feel satisfied with answers.

Q.- Is God not Powerful enough to Stop an Incident (Death) from Happening?(Death of questioner's father)

The truth of the matter is that you are feeling the pain of death of your

father.

Now you want to dilute, explain away, escape the pain by explanations about God,

soul, karma and so on.

Can you see this clearly?

When you see that explanations are only solaces-you become one with your pain

from where you want to run away by satisfactory answers.

Leaving the comfort of answers makes you one with the fact, however painful it

may be.

Brain gets charged-it sees the ground where birth and death are a unitary

phenomenon.

But this becomes clear only when you are bent upon to see. And reject the

comfort of explanations.

Acceptance of resistance is the key

The key to understand is that you want to operate in life freely as you intend, but there is resistance from outside or inside. This resistance is the key.

The idea of God is the acceptance of the resistance(lack).

This resistance(lack) can not be undone, what one may do.

But we are warding off the resistance by the idea of God, taking refuge in the idea, thus unable to come upon the secret.

Effect of satsang remains transitory

The effect gained during satsang does not stay afterwords because mind converts this understanding as satisfactory, as done, final. It is now attached to this understanding as it is attached to material things.

No theory, philosophy or technique can lead one to be in that state. At the most, they can take one to the inquiry state, the journey beyond which is exclusive. No book, no teaching can go further. These can feed one's inquiry.

The understanding dawns when one is not gratified by books or teachers against one's present state which one terms as unsatisfactory.

Destiny or Free will

Whether we are governed by free will or destiny?

Mind wants to feel satisfied by taking any side. There is nothing more in this question that you want a satisfactory answer.

The answers to this question can be

1) that there is free will

2) that there is destiny

3) that there is something in between and so on.

Any answer will satisfy you or dissatisfy you as per your inclination. This is the game of the mind to ask questions and feel satisfied or dissatisfied. Mind is bound by this pattern.

Just see the game of the mind and be free.

When you see that any satisfactory answer is a dampener, there arises tremendous clarity to act.

Truth begins to dawn.

What is prayer

Let us be clear.

Prayer is not a positive action as doing something.

To see a fact or challenge without complaining, blaming, feeling guilty is prayer.

Mind runs to complain, blame, feel guilty on seeing a fact or challenge, prayer is the traditional way to remember the futility of complaining and so on.

It is to bear the friction of 'what is' and 'what you think should be' without any comforting idea.

You will say, what will happen then.

When one sees this, bears the friction- all such questions drop.

Now you are simply operating, acting without waiting for relief from tomorrow, future.

You can not say that you want God, as one does not 'know' Him.

One is just asking for as one has heard from others or books or one is just desiring a mentally comfortable state.

All practices will take you there.

God is here as well there.

God is not a positive entity.

As all search is for the positive,so the search is vain.

Mind can not operate without duality-good-bad and so on.

This is the limit of the mind.

To see the limit of the mind is to see beyond.

Can you bear the jerk of the fact that you will NEVER know Truth as a comfortable end or idea?

Why God Can't Be Remembered during crucial times (physical danger)?

Just see.

How one meets physical danger, which is threat to survival?(as in your example)

By momentary instinctive action. That is, thought is zero-ined. Mind is stilled,

there is immediacy of action.

How one meets psychological danger (any unfavourable situation)?

One does not recognize it as danger. Thought intervenes as a comforting idea by

complaining, blaming, feeling guilty. One does not see the situation 'as it is'.

In physical dangers there is no option. In psychological dangers, time serves as

an agent to avoid the moment by ideation.

The stilling of thought in physical dangers as well as in psychological dangers

is the touch of non-linear energy- you may call it a connection to God. Naming

is not important. Important is to have an actual touch of that energy, which is

not separate from you.

Full Circle

One is not aware that one is seeking (a complacent state, freedom and so on).

One becomes aware through spiritual and even material pursuits that one is seeking.

Truth is a hit on the mind that whatever it is seeking is NOT AVAILABLE.

One regains one’s original position.

But something has happened during this process.

What happens after death

Just see that you and your death can not meet at any point. You and your death can never be together. It means 'you' can NEVER die. Here the question of death itself dissolves. You are on a ground, which is ever new. You are one with the endless, restless. You get a current of the Original Energy.

Q.- Is meditation necessary to keep the mind at peace or to keep it under control?

Body and brain require food and sleep to recharge. This is sufficient, complete in itself. You are essentially at peace, at rest unless you are in immediate physical danger. Unless you recognize this fact-any practice, device as meditation and so on to bring peace and control is to seek relief by running away from what you do not like. The energy remains dissipated.
