Luna Tattoo Pineapple

Luna make a range of Guitars and acoustic folk instruments. They all have a very distinctive look, with the fretboard inlays, laser etching, embellished sound holes and other little features, (apparently they are all designed by women I don't know how much this has to do with the look?).

The "Tattoo" is one of the bottom end of the range, but its still a very good quality instrument with its laser etching based on a Polynesian tattoo design. At the time I got it, as well as my Pineapple Soprano there was a Concert Figure 8 Tattoo. This over the years has been added to with a number of other options featuring the same design.

The Ukulele itself was made in China at the same factory as a number of my other Soprano's. If you look at the fretboard shape and the headstock side curves you can spot the similarities, particularly with the aNueNue Bear. However it was cheaper than the bear and I think, for the money it costs new, this is the best Ukulele in the price range. It is Mahogany Laminate, (as you would expect for the price), but it has a good solid tone and plenty of of volume. It came with Aquila strings and a good gig-bag but I have changed the strings, (to help differentiate it from the Bear).
