Shanghai Skylark 1/4 Cello
Was My Big Fiddle

This came to Ukulele Corner as part of a job lot at auction.

I can't remember what it came with now? (I've been asleep since then), but I do remember that a small part of the reason I put in a bid was because my sister-in-law kept saying she wanted a Cello.

Of course when it arrived she didn't want it, "it's too small", but she stopped asking about a Cello ever since it arrived so if nothing else it achieved that.

I have no idea how to play a Cello with a bow and whilst I could, (and did), tune it as a Bass, it was far to small to use as an Upright Bass and not very good to use like an electric Bass. The body was too fat, the angle of the finger board made this even worse and the radius was way way to much. So it sat in the "Cello Corner" of Ukulele Corner gathering dust.

I'm kind of sad, (and guilty), as it's gone off to be experimented on, (by the Ukulele Doctor! not an aspiring school child). It's future is to become Dr Frankeflet's Monster, but not terrorise the neighbourhood, (a fate which it may have had if an aspiring school child, or my sister-in-law, tried to play it).
