Clearwater  UCW7V

This body shape is often referred to as a "Vita" body on the basis that the original Ukulele shaped like this was the Roy Smeck Vita, however the name came from Roy boosting his income advertising Vitaphone. The actual shape is based on an A Style Mandolin and the purpose behind using it is to increase the surface area of the soundboard in the lower bout thus making the Ukulele acoustically louder. This is certainly one of my loudest Soprano's and it has a nice tone and good sustain too. On top of this, Clearwater have fitted a passive pickup so you can amplify it in case it is not loud enough.
