(Thesis)

Vicki grew up on a farm in south central Nebraska with an innate love of the outdoors. She joined the lab as a first semester freshman in 2012 first as a technician in the lab and then as an independent researcher. Vicki's senior thesis focused on exploring how landscape conditions influence nest success. Vicki completed her undergraduate degree, three of them actually, in 2015 and after a summer of field work rejoined the lab as a graduate student. Vicki's graduate degree again focused on understanding how landscapes shape nest predation. Vicki successfully defended here thesis in the fall of 2018 and then went on to work as an extension agent for Kansas State. However, she longed for her roots and has now returned to Nebraska to manage her family farm.
