Jessica Laskowski

MS Student – Applied Ecology (2012-14)

(Thesis)

Jess grew up in the suburbs of New York City and earned a BA in Journalism at Temple University in Philadelphia. Following graduation she settled in Manhattan. During her time in New York City she felt most inspired and invigorated while running along the East River which gave her a new appreciation for the outdoors, for fresh air, and for wildlife. Consequently, she moved west, outfitting in Colorado and farming in New Zealand. Her passion for the natural world led her to study wildlife biology at the University of Montana and ultimately to pursue a graduate degree at the University of Nebraska. Jess received her M.S. in 2014 examining the latent effects of predation risk on reproductive investment and shortly after started a PhD program in Dr. Dr. Bob McCleary's lab at the University of Florida. Finished with her PhD, Jess now works as an analyst in Colorado. If you want to know more about what is going on with Jess, check out here website: Jess Laskowski.
