Checking oven thermostats

Most of todays oven have electronic thermostats and need nothing more than the cash and the quick plug, some of them even tell you what is wrong,these are some older codes but you get the idea. Check it out:

F2 Oven Temp Exceeds 590 with unlocked door High resistance in Sensor, likely a bad sensor

F3 Open Sensor circuit Open (blown) sensor fuse or bad Sensor

F7-A Function pad button stuck Clean and unstick

If the oven thermostat is the bulb type then here are a few points. If the oven will burns the bottom of the food then the thermostats contacts are fried together. Replacement needed. If those same contacts burn up then the oven will not have continuity and their will be not heat. Sometimes the

Oven control has no electrical connections. If you are planning on replacing one of these then you will have to calibrate it and set it up for the correct gas and set the pilot heights on the oven and the top burners. It is an expensive part and they don't refund if the part looks used.
