Terry Hoo?

Post date: 25-May-2012 08:04:16

Thank you to everyone who attended Luton Hoo last week. What a day we had, amazing weather and it was matched by the company, play, a great course and excellent facilities. Welcome back to our ranks Mr Nick Duggan and Mr Dev, great to have you both back in the OV fold.

The Tomlin Cleek was a hard faught battle with the round taking perhaps a little longer than we had wished for some participants.

Results

  1. Terry Vice Wiggins was the winner of the omlin Cleek with 36 points

  2. Stephen Roberts was 2nd with 35 points

  3. Brian Nelson was 3rd with 34 points

Congratulations to Terry, we are sure Jane will be delighted with the trophy!

Cash prizes for nearest pin

Morning £25 went to Nick Duggan

The afternoon £35 went to Graham Mooney, congratulations to them both

Mr Stephen Roberts won the other nearest the pin prize in the afternoon

Longest Drive

Dev was the winner of the longest drive

In the Tomlin Cleek, Graham Mooney snuck in 4th, Dev had a good 18, Dave Boynton was in with a shout as was I. Steve Sear was putting well, Nick Duggan enjoyed his first round with the OV's for a while, Mike Wadham had a few 3 pointers, Ray Austin had to withdraw after injury on the 3rd hole of the morning! We also welcomed and would welcome back Mike Wadham's guest, Brian Major who played well.

Angel Matamala was in attendance for a drink later after Wentworth called and it was great to see him

Morning Texas Scramble results

The morning Texas Scramble Competition had 1 shot splitting 3 teams! It was won by Steve Roberts, Nick Duggan and Graham Mooney with nett 31 for 9 holes

Prizes

Thanks to Stephen for arranging the prizes which were considerably better than the delivery of the joke but he will improve. We had OV golf tees for all in attendance so thanks to Steve, good man.
