About Nerd Light Books
I love books! I mean I adore them! Everything about them. The smell of the paper, new and old. The calm that comes over me when I'm curled up under the covers with my trusty book light. The words they contain. I actually get words stuck in my head like some people do with songs!
If I found a "treasure" when I was teaching, I shared it with my students. So what was I to do when I didn't have a class of my own? "Nerd Light Books" is the answer. The site is lovingly named after the book light that I read with every night. My trusty light was supplanted by my ipad (Black background, white letters! The best for night reading!) But I still read by every night, literally under the covers. My husband can't sleep with a light on. :-)
It is my hope that this site will help me share the books I read with students, friends, and family. If you find some great reads, please write to me and suggest them! I love a good recommendation! I have split the site into five main categories:
