Missy Piggle-Wiggle

New York Times bestselling author Ann M. Martin, Ann Parnell, and illustrator Ben Hatke present this adorable spin-off series to Betty MacDonald’s beloved Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle novels. Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle has left Little Spring Valley, granting her niece–Missy Piggle-Wiggle–the responsibility of taking care of the Upside-Down House and the beloved animals who live there. Neighbors soon realize that like her great-aunt, Missy Piggle Wiggle has inventive cures for all sorts of childhood (mis)behavior. “[Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle’s] singular magic can enchant a new generation, thanks to this delightful contemporary follow-up from Martin, writing with MacDonald’s great-granddaughter, Parnell.”–Publishers Weekly (starred review), on Missy Piggle-Wiggle and the Whatever Cure

Why Mom loves this series:

  • The upside down house (which is a character all on its own!)
  • Missy's sidekick, Lester (a pig who walks upright, cooks and needs coffee almost us much as I do!)
  • The kids Missy "cures" have some very real bad habits. The way Martin blows them out of proportion makes them funny, but there are still many teachable moments.
  • The cures almost always lead to something hilarious!

Why my daughter likes this series:

  • She likes how the kids make trouble.
  • She likes how Missy cures them.

There are three books in this series so far. Here they are in order:
