External Projects

The Department of Bioinformatics & Computational Biology (DCB) accepts a limited number of students from other educational institutions for doing projects (M.Sc. Bioinformatics, M.Phil. Bioinformatics   B.Tech. / M.Tech. Bioinformatics and also M.Sc. Computer Science / MCA). Emails should be sent only to projects.cbi(at)gmail(dot)com. Mails sent to individual faculty members shall not be responded. Only candidates whose interests and skill sets overlap with that of faculty or research students shall be accepted for projects. To maintain quality, from mid-2009 onwards, the number of seats has been severely restricted. Interested students are required to go through the website of DCB, identify their area of interest and the research guide working in the respective field. Prior to sending the application form, the candidates must get a reference letter from the concerned guide in DCB. There shall be a telephonic interview and test for the selection of project students. Those students who clear the interview and test will only be selected for doing their project work.
