The DBT BIF centre at the Centre for Bioinformatics, University of Kerala is proud to announce Bioinoformatica Indica 2010, International Symposium sheduled to be held from 11-13 of January 2010. The scope is to introduce various advances in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology with special focus on traditional as well as advanced areas of computaional work in genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, structural bioinformatics, drug discovery, immunoinformatics, systems biology & synthetic biology.

Applications are invited for 6 openings in a research project at Centre for Bioinformatics, funded by Dept. of Information Technology, Govt. of India. The project is on developing a soft computing tool to predict Hub proteins. The openings are as follows: - Senior Research Fellow (2 Vacancies; Qualification: MPhil or MTech in Bioinformatics; Stipend: Rs. 15,000/- p.m)
- Junior Research Fellow (1 Vacancy; Qualification: MCA with two years of experience in Bioinformatics Industry; Stipend: Rs. 10000/- p.m)
- Technical Assistant (1 Vacancy; Qualification: PGDCA; Stipend: Rs. 7000/- p.m)

M. Phil (Bioinformatics) Applications shall be received until Sept 30th and the Entrance Examination shall be held on 24th October (subject to University approval). Last date for receiving applications may be extended if the University decides to do so for the M. Phil programmes.
