I work with SciGenom Labs Pvt Ltd, Kochi, Kerala, as a Scientific Manager (Bioinformatics). SciGenom Labs is a genomics oriented R&D Company specialized in DNA sequencing, Bioinformatics (Next generation sequence analysis) and Genetic testing. I spear head the bioinformatics team at SciGenom, responsible for the customer support of genomics services, coordinates the activities of business development and sequencing team in SciGenom.

My association with Centre for Bioinformatics dates back to year 2005, when I joined for MPhil. course in Bioinformatics, first of its kind in the country. The 12 months I spent in the centre was one among the best time in my student life. We kick started our company ‘Sooryakiran Bioinformatics’ in the lecture hall of CBi. The support and motivation we received from University of Kerala through CBi for giving ‘wings to our dream’ was instrumental. I had the proud privilege of associating with the centre as lecturer for an year.
