Automatic Reassessment and Relearning System.

As part of their normal homework 8th grade students practiced 32 skills on ASSISTments until they answered three right in a row. End-of-year post-test results revealed better performance on the problem sets that were reassessed and relearned versus not. Furthermore, the Automatic Reassessment and Relearning System was especially beneficial for students with low pre-test performance and for more difficult skills.

All Students "Mastered the Skill

Students work until they get three right in a row without any help. They can get help by clicking the “hint” button.

Half the Students did relearning and reassessments

Reassessment tests are automatically assigned.

If students get a problem wrong on the reassessment, they have to do a relearning assignment.

Green checks are accumulated as students succeed on the reassessments.
