In this study, students tested on how well they do on post test questions after being put into one of two conditions. In one condition, students will get variations of the base question like transfer items while in the other, students continue with the base level questions. Students in both conditions begin with a skill builder with problems similar to:

After successfully completing the skill builder, students in this group are provided with a generic survey question:
Experiment
After successfully completing the skill builder, students in this group are provided with a choice of choosing the difficulty of the next problems:
The students will be randomly chosen to get the challenging questions or the base level questions. The challenging questions are shown in the experiment section of this page. After this, students are given two more base level questions to access their understanding.
