Volcano Cake

I made this volcano cake for my son Jon's 6th birthday.

I used the Wilton Wonder Mold Kit

 cake pan to make the volcano. It takes exactly one box of cake mix. 

I set the cake on a 10 inch round cake board made of 3 layers of these Wilton 10-Inch Cake Circle

 covered in white contact paper white contact paper.

I iced the cake in chocolate ganache. I made buttercream icing and used Wilton icing colors

 (orange and red) to create the lava. I also used green buttercream to make the ground below the volcano. I used Wilton Leaf Icing Tip #67

 to make leaves. 

I decorated the volcano with Toy Plastic Dinosaurs

 and Candy Rocks.
