New API

INTViewer 4.5 brings a new set of functionalities that have been made available through the API:

• An API to launch long tasks inside a blocking/modal dialog
• An API to detect the selected shape in 2D layers
• An API to create formula-based data (seismic datasets, horizon datasets)
• An API to generate datasets from other datasets and accessible from the "Data" window
• An API for sending and receiving data from Matlab

The API to create preference panels now creates panels accessible from the Tools -> Options menu item instead of View -> Preferences. When creating new preference panels, you have option of using the legacy preference panels API or the NetBeans options API.

NetBeans 7.1.2

INTViewer 4.5 is based upon NetBeans 7.1.2 instead of NetBeans 7.1.1 for INTViewer 4.4.

If you decide to use NetBeans 7.2 instead of NetBeans 7.1.1, you will encounter a run.xml issue.

Incompatibilities with 4.4

A set of API incompatibilities have been introduced as part of this release.
