Seco Mines Teachers Awarded $500 Grant Awards

The Eagle Pass Education Foundation recognized teachers and their schools in the district who received grant awards to fund an innovative teaching program at their respective campus. At Seco Mines Elementary, we received two grants awarded to Mr. Raul Zambrano, 4th grade Teacher, for the project "Rosetta Stone: Building Rich, Self-Paced Language Experiences for E.L.L. Students" and to Ms. Amelia Zambrano, 1st grade Teacher, for the project "Learning Through Creative Dramatics". We wish to congratulate and commend our teachers who participated in the grant writing project to help expand learning for students at our campus. I would also like to recognize and thank our staff who attended the Gala to celebrate our school success! Thank you to Mary Macias, Margaret Diego, Ritza Roman, Edith Moreno, Raul Zambrano, Amelia Zambrano, and Celia Villasenor, Instructional Officer who were in attendance at the Gala on April 8, 2016.
