Find 3 options of playing math games with a set of UNO cards.
You will need: UNO cards
Shuffle the cards, deal each of the players 5 cards, and place the other cards face down on the table.
One player calls out the card he / she has in hand (example: “Do you have red No.1?”).
Other players check their hands, if they have it, they collect both cards, and if they don’t they draw another card from the pile. A player who collects most cards is the winner.
The second option is to play the regular UNO version of this game.
You will need: UNO cards.
Shuffle the cards, deal each of the players 7 cards, and place the other cards face down on the table.
Maximum of 10 players.
Turn over the top card from the draw pile to start the game. Place it facing up next to your draw pile. This will be the discard pile.
Play a card to match the color, number or symbol on the card. Draw from the pile if you cannot play a card. When you have 1 card left in your hand say, "UNO!" The winner is the first person to use all of their cards.
In this option you will add a challenge to the regular version of UNO.
You will need: UNO cards.
To add a challenge to the game UNO - select a target. For example this could be - +2, x5 or - 2.
Decide as a group what it will be and it can change, to make the game harder each time.
You will play the regular game of UNO but with your target. In this example we will +2. You have to +2 to each card you discard. For example, Shaikha plans to lay a 4. She must first say “4+2=6”. She may then discard the ‘4’.
When you have 1 card left in your hand say, "UNO!" The winner is the first person to use all of their cards.
