Valedictory Function

VALEDICTORY:

The Valedictory Function of the Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Internet of Things (IoT): Exploring Applications and Innovations" was held on September 15th, 2023. The 5 Day FDP is sponsored by ISTE Karnataka Section and VTU and organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Yenepoya Institute of Technology (YIT). This FDP was organized with the aim of enhancing the knowledge and skills of faculty members and professionals in the field of IoT. The esteemed Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Adithya M D, Research Associate, Neuronics Lab, Department of Electronic Systems Engineering, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. The event was skilfully hosted by Prof. Nazia. Principal of YIT, Dr. R G D'souza Florally extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, Mr. Adithya M D. Prof. Nazia welcomed the Principal of YIT Dr. R.G.D’souza, the Campus Administrator Officer Mr. Mohammed B Shahid, the Convener of FDP Dr. Prasana Kumar C, the Coordinator of FDP Dr. Shashank M Gowda, as well as all external and internal participants who contributed to the success of the FDP. 

Prof. Nazia introduced the Chief Guest, Mr. Adithya M D, highlighting his significant contributions to the field of electronic systems engineering and IoT. Dr. R.G. D'souza, the Principal of YIT, delivered a thought-provoking presidential address in which he emphasized the importance of resilience in the engineering field, especially in the context of rapidly evolving technologies like IoT. Mr. Adithya M D, the Chief Guest, was felicitated by all the dignitaries present at the event, showcasing their appreciation for his valuable presence and insights. Prof. S.V. Prasad read out the names of the participants, and certificates were distributed by the Principal to acknowledge the successful completion of the FDP. 

Mr. Chetan R, a Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering from Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management, shared valuable feedback about the FDP from an external participant's perspective. 

Dr. Shashank M Gowda delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the participants, dignitaries, organizers, and sponsors who contributed to the success of the FDP. The event concluded with a photo session, capturing memorable moments and interactions among participants and dignitaries.
