The keynote address, which started at 10:00 AM, was delivered by Dr. Niranjan U C, Director R&T, Manipal Dot Net, Manipal. The address focused on various aspects of the  Internet of Things (IoT), including its applications, innovations, and the broader landscape of technology. Dr. Niranjan introduced the concept of the "Energy Cloud," highlighting how IoT technologies can be used to create interconnected systems for efficient energy management and distribution. He provided insights into the functioning of air conditioners, emphasizing how IoT can enhance their performance by enabling remote control and automation, thereby contributing to energy savings. Dr. Niranjan highlighted the concept of Smart Cities, where IoT plays a pivotal role in improving urban infrastructure, transportation, security, and overall quality of life. The advantages of 5G technology were discussed, including ultra-fast data transmission, low latency, and its potential to revolutionize IoT applications such as autonomous vehicles, healthcare, and industrial automation. He addressed the importance of compute drivers in IoT devices, emphasizing the need for efficient hardware and software components to handle data processing and analytics tasks. 

Dr. Niranjan U C, concluded the keynote address by emphasizing the transformative potential of IoT in various domains, including energy management, thermal comfort, cloud computing, and the development of Smart Cities. He encouraged the participants to explore these technologies and innovations to drive research, startups, and advancements in the IoT field.
