The hands-on session on Internet of Things (IoT) started at 9:30 AM and featured Mr. Mohammed Sadiq, Director and Founder, Tech-Graylogix, Mangaluru and Mr. Mohammed Salman, Embedded Engineer, Tech-Graylogix, Mangaluru as the resource persons. Prof. Nazia A M introduced our esteemed resource person to the gathering.
Mr. Mohammed Sadiq began by introducing the basics of Arduino IDE, a widely used open-source IDE for embedded and IoT applications, practical exercises involved the implementation of sample code for IoT devices. He discussed about the use of IR sensors for obstacle detection, motor control in IoT applications and Practical demonstrations on OLED displays were provided, highlighting their applications in IoT for data visualization.
Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification throughout the session, promoting interactive learning. Participants expressed increased confidence in implementing IoT solutions and working with various IoT components, such as Arduino, sensors, and communication protocols. The hands-on nature of the session allowed participants to actively engage with IoT hardware and software components.
After the Hands-on session, Prof. Nazia, extended her heartfelt thanks to Resource Person. Dr. Shashank M Gowda, had the honour of presenting a memento to Mr. Mohammed Sadiq and Mr. Mohammed Salman as a token of appreciation for his valuable contribution. The session was well-received and contributed significantly to the participants' understanding of IoT applications and innovations.
