Session 1 of Day 5 of the Faculty Development Program (FDP), commenced at 9:30 AM on 15/09/2023. The Resource Person for this session was Dr. Bhawana Rudra, Assistant Professor, Department of Information Technology, NITK, Suratkal. The session began with a warm introduction by Prof. Nazia, setting the stage for Dr. Bhawana Rudra's presentation.

Dr. Shashank M Gowda, extended a floral welcome to Dr. Bhawana Rudra, enhancing the ambiance of the event.  Dr. Bhawana Rudra delved into the fascinating world of Internet of Vehicles (IoV), highlighting its significance in the modern automotive landscape. Participants gained insights into the distinctions between Intra and Inter-Vehicle IoV, emphasizing their respective roles and applications. Dr. Rudra elucidated the three critical network elements that underpin IoV, providing a comprehensive understanding of their interplay. The intricacies of vehicle-to-vehicle communication and its transformative potential were explored, shedding light on the future of transportation.

Participants were enlightened about the pivotal role of cloud infrastructure in IoV, enabling seamless data exchange and analysis. Dr. Rudra addressed the paramount concern of security in vehicle communication, discussing protocols and measures to safeguard IoV systems.

Prof. Nazia extended heartfelt gratitude to the Resource Person Dr. Bhawana Rudra for her informative and engaging session, underscoring the value of her expertise. To commemorate the occasion, Prof. Gangadhara presented a memento to Dr. Bhawana Rudra, symbolizing appreciation for her contributions.
