Tanya Wood

Tanya Wood is an English Learner (EL) teacher for Ypsilanti Community schools at Ford Early Learning Center and Y.I.E.S. Ypsilanti International Elementary school.  She has worked in the field of education since graduating from Eastern Michigan University in 2001.  Tanya has a B.A. in Elementary Education, and obtained a Master of Arts and Graduated Certificate in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Eastern Michigan University Winter Semester 2023.

Tanya has always loved people from diverse cultures and backgrounds and is happy to be  working with students from diverse cultures in YCS.  She also loves the sharing of diveres cultures that goes on within the groups she works with.  She loves interacting with the students and helping them to adjust to a new culture within the school while helping them understand and master coursework.
