I think that I definitely achieved my goals for this semester. My two main goals were to learn new techniques and get overall better at photography. During this semester, I learned a lot of different techniques, and the one that I think I will use the most is the rule of thirds. Learning just the basics of photography helped create a foundation that I think I will use every single time I take a photo. Learning to photograph from different perspectives like the On the Ground assignment was also really helpful, and I think overall learning different techniques helped me achieve my other goal of getting better at photography. I don't think that I expected to learn as much as I did in the technique aspect of this class, but I'm really happy I took it and learned about photography.
What inspires me to make photography is mostly my mom. My mom has always been really into photography, and from a young age I’ve always been artistic. Starting to focus on specific types of art that really interests me has led me to photography because I really enjoy it, but I also think I’m decent at it. I like to take inspiration from the things around me, especially nature. I hope to improve on my composition this semester and also make sure I find multiple perspectives to ensure that I get the best possible outcome when I take pictures. Overall, I hope that I’m able to learn new techniques and make my photography skills better.
