Edward Weston (1886-1958) was an American photographer who is widely regarded as one of the most influential photographers of the 20th century. He is best known for his striking black-and-white photographs of natural forms, landscapes, and nudes, which often demonstrated a remarkable level of detail and abstraction.
who or what influenced
Weston was born in Highland Park, Illinois, and grew up in Chicago. He began taking photographs at a young age and became interested in photography as an art form in his early 20s. In 1908, he moved to California, where he worked as a portrait photographer and also began to experiment with more abstract and artistic forms of photography.
why I chose him
I chose Edward Weston because I really like how his photos are black and white. It really brings out the shape and texture of whatever he is photographing. I also like the close up photography that he does. I like it because it really focuses the focal point. Also I like how he makes the background black and kind of dark which again focuses on the object he is photographing.
