Uncle John’s Paint Supply
Uncle John’s is a local paint supply company that caters to anyone who needs paint, from artists and creators to regular house painting jobs. Uncle John’s has all the supplies someone may need such as brushes, small or big, acrylic paints, house paints, etc. Uncle John’s specializes in paint supplies used for houses and other work jobs but still has a small but sufficient collection of art supplies.
I wanted to show how local and basic the store would be so I chose a very simple font and the multiple colors are there to represent the store having a large supply of colors in paints. I also liked the circular logo design because, again, it felt basic and simple so the viewer can easily see it and it wouldn’t be so extravagant.
I learned in logo design that you have to have an open mind and accept the process because your first idea is almost never going to end up as the final piece. I also learned how to use colors, shapes and fonts to convey a certain message through the logo. Another thing I learned about was how artists come up with their logo designs while thinking about how they want the viewer or consumer to perceive their company because the logo creates a name and tells a story about the company.
