This was my view during the Taylor Swift concert and I thought that it could be used for this part of the assignment because there was 70,000 people there and we were all a part of the same community
This picture was from when the sun set and she was performing the Fearless part of her concert and you can see some of the bracelets that were lit up during this part and I feel like the bracelets connected the crowd more as a community
Unit reflection
Identity is a concept that refers to the characteristics, traits, behaviors, beliefs, and values that make a person unique. On a personal level, identity often refers to someone's sense of self, meaning how they view themself as compared to other people. During the unit, I found that identity can be about what you see through other things and not just yourself.
The community assignment felt like the most successful to me because you can show/see what community(s) that someone identifies with. There were a lot of things that I could've used for that part of the unit but I chose to use concert pictures because that's one of the biggest things that I identify with.
I thought that the self-identity assignment was the most challenging to do because I couldn't fit everything I wanted in one photo so I had to choose specific things to use and trying to figure out what exactly I wanted to use was hard.
I really enjoyed having to think about identity in multiple different ways and I think what I used for each part was unique. I think the pictures I used for each part had unique vibes to them and that they all really captured what identity is to me.
I would've spent more time specifically on the self-identity part of the unit so that the photos would turn out to be more of what I wanted them to be.
