PURPOSE:
To continue to see things in a different way;
To continue to practice the compositional strategies: Framing & Leading lines.
I took this photo while walking outside as I normally do on a cold February afternoon. I like this particular photo because it enhances the perspective of being led to your impending doom and the sun makes it seem more comforting so you wouldn't suspect a thing. The already placed footsteps in the ice imply that someone else has met their fate. Now, through this POV we can feel that sorrow for those who were lost because of these woods.
WOODS
I also really like this photo because it focuses mostly on the split between the pieces of wood. I took various pictures and focused on different parts of the bridge but this one ended up being my favorite one. It could also be used as an example for background simplified because you can see what's in the background but it's blurred so you focus more on the bridge than what's around it.
BRIDGE
I LOVE this photo because I was able to capture my cat within the frame. My cat was not the easiest at cooperating when taking this photo, but she is still a great model and I am happy with how the result came out because of the unique POV.
CAT
I especially like this photo because my dog is the subject of this farmed photo. The door frame is a good example of framing for anyone at the door. My dog behaved nicely while I took this picture (with the help of treats) and I like how she represents a visitor at the door.
DOG
I like this picture a lot for various reasons: the crosswalk, the road, the sun, and the snow. The crosswalk is a good example of leading lines because it leads you to the other side of the road. I also really appreciate how the sun brings out a warming, soothing color to the photo that makes this cold February day feel warmer and happy to cross the street to the sun which in the end, brings you to your impending doom.
CROSSWALK
I like this photo a lot as well because of the screen material changing the texture of this photo, making you feel trapped like I did while I took this photo. The wood beams on my patio are framing the sun and keep it in the center and subject of the overall photo.
