Confab Spaces
Guidelines on Confab Space Reservations
Availability of spaces : 6 Confab Spaces will be open only when the library is open and staffed. 2 Confab Spaces are available each on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors of the Library Annex Building.
Eligibility : Only currently enrolled students and current employees may reserve the Confab Spaces.
Ineligibility : Alumni, guests, and visitors may not reserve the Confab Spaces.
Usage of Confab Spaces : Monday - Friday: 8AM - 7:45PM, Saturday: 8AM - 4:45PM
Duration of reservation : Students may reserve a Confab Space up to 2 hours per day.
Frequency of reservation : Students may reserve only once per week.
Unreserved slots : If a Confab Space is not officially reserved, users are allowed to use it on a first-come, first-served basis.
Late arrivals : If a student has an approved Confab Space Reservation through the Online Reservation System then they maintain the right to use that room for the duration of their reservation. The room may be used for other users on a first-come, first-served basis if the reserver has not arrived after 15 minutes of the reservation.
Code of conduct : Confab Spaces are intended for the purpose of individual or group study and research and will not be used for commercial activity, distribution of materials, goods, or services, or solicitation. The code of conduct concerning food and beverages aligns with the library’s overall policy, and groups will be expected to adhere to reasonable noise levels. Users are not permitted to sleep, move furniture inside, and they are highly discouraged to leave their personal items unattended.
Failure to abide by the Confab Space Reservation Guidelines will result in the revocation of reservation privileges.
Confab Space Guidelines
The Confab Spaces are available for use by all currently enrolled students. Health protocols and controlled seat capacity on each floor are strictly implemented by the whole library personnel.
Use of the Confab Spaces is on a first come, first served basis.
Users must register first at the Circulation Counter with their Student ID Card. The ID card will be returned at the end of the session.
Users cannot enter the Confab Space unless given permission to do so. Failure to abide will result in the cancellation of Confab Space Usage.
Each Confab Space can accommodate a maximum of 15 users.
Confab Spaces may be used for a maximum of 2 hours only for students and a maximum of 3 hours for employees. Extension of
use is subject to the Confab Space availability.
Users should refrain from loud noise or disruptive behavior. Please be respectful and considerate of other library users.
Eating, smoking, playing games/musical instruments, and gambling are strictly prohibited.
Please do not leave your personal belongings unattended. The library is not responsible for any loss or damage.
After usage, please arrange the chairs and clean the area before you leave.
Users are responsible for library property, materials, equipment, and furnishings during the period of use. In case of damage due to negligence, the users will replace/pay for the damaged property.
The library retains the right to monitor all activities conducted on the premises to ensure compliance with library regulations. Library staff must have free access to the Confab Space at all times.
