Guidelines for Visiting Users

The XU Library serves, first and foremost, the students, and employees of Xavier University. Other Visiting Users (non-student or non-employee) will be accommodated in the libraries based on the policies below except during major exams of midterms and finals.

XU Basic Education StudentsXU AlumniXU Reviewees are accommodated only on weekdays 4PM to 8PM and Saturdays 8AM to 5PM. No fees are charged.  XU Alumni should secure an Alumni ID at the Alumni Office, 1st floor, Student Center building.  This ID is required for entrance to the libraries.

XU Graduate School Students who are in research and writing phase but not currently enrolled are accommodated at all times but should present a note from their Dean. This note and old School ID should be presented at the Library Entrance.

Members of the American Studies Association (ASA) are accommodated only on weekdays 4PM to 8PM and Saturdays 8AM to 5PM but only at the AS Library.  A fee will be charged for use of other library resources or collections.  ASA Members should present their ASA ID (with photo) upon entrance to the library. 

Members from the Academic Libraries Information Network (ALINET) are accommodated only on Saturdays 8AM to 5PM.  A fee will be charged for each visit.  This fee allows access to all libraries. Researchers from ALINET member schools should first see their librarians to secure an ALINET permit.  A current ID (office, SSS, PRC, or Driver's License) is required upon entrance to the libraries.  For inquiries email library@xu.edu.ph

Other Outside Researchers are accommodated only on Saturdays 8AM to 5PM and they should present a current ID (office, SSS, PRC, or Driver's License) upon entrance to the libraries.  A fee of P100 will be charged for each visit.

All these Visiting Users mentioned above are not allowed during major exams of midterms and finals.

All materials are for inside use only.     

No ID, No Entry policy is strictly implemented.
