MARCH 1st: SAINT DAVID'S DAY
history
The story of St David has many chapters, some stories are seen as true and some are seen as legendary stories.
He was regarded as a traveller who visited many places around the world on different pilgrimages and even as far as Jerusalem where he became an archbishop. Upon settling in south-west Wales, he created a religious community withun what is now St. David's in Pembrokeshire.
St. David was renowned for his invoking of a strict religious way of living in the south-est and also his ability o perform miracles. The most famous miracle coming at Llanddewi Brefi, where is said to have caused the ground beneath him to rise up in order for him to deliver a sermon to a gathering crowd.
