What is 4th of July?

4th of July is a federal holiday in the U.S. observed to celebrate the anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and freedom from British rule. For this reason, 4th of July is also commonly known as Independence Day.

The Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4th, 1776, and has become an important date in the calendar for patriotic Americans who honor the birth, and rich history and values of the United States.

Why is Independence Day so important?

Independence Day commemorates the freedom of the original 13 colonies from the rule of Great Britain.

Therefore, 4th of July celebrates the freedom and rights of the United States and its citizens. It also provides us with the opportunity to reflect and give thanks to those who sacrificed for our freedom.
