School buildings and grounds are maintained through:
Planned Preventative Maintenance which includes internal and external services inspections and maintaining maintenance contracts
Maintaining and prioritising building improvements through maintaining the Narrative for Success and list of projects being worked on in this year
Maintaining a Trust Estate Vision, Strategy and Asset Management Plan
Energy is effectively managed through:
Catering is to a high standard in all schools:
Food hygiene is high
Students enjoy their lunches
The Trust has a Climate Action Plan and schools have actions they want to take
The Trust has a Waste Management Plan and schools have actions they want to take
A sustainable Risk Management System is in place including a health and safety policy which assists and promotes a safe culture across our Trust. User Guides and Protocols are set up to assist this
Staff, student and visitor incident reporting protocols are in place and schools are:
Engaging with this and recording all types of incidents including near misses
Investigating why individual incidents happen, where patterns are and take actions
Reporting any RIDDOR incidents
Emergency procedures are in place, practised and actions are taken by all schools, including Fire and lockdown.
Appropriate Risk Assessments are in place at schools and staff are engaging with these
Training is completed and recorded
Contractor performance is monitored and actions taken ensuring work is completed safely and to a good standard
Health & safety checks are completed through:
Annual audits are completed yearly
Grounds inspections are completed monthly and any issues are reported
Procedures for dealing with staff health / welfare concerns are in place
Employee Assistance Programme in place and being engaged with
Annual flu vaccinations are offered to all staff
Staff Check In Surveys are sent out to all staff and the Heads & the Executive Team review this
A clear and effective Business Continuity Plan is in place and reviewed yearly
A Trust Letting policy is in place and all lettings have agreements in place. (sheet to be created holding links to all agreements and added here along with policy)

Associated policies (Health and Safety, Risk Management) are reviewed, are practiced and they comply with statutory requirements such as the Health & Safety at Work Act (HSWA) 1974 as well as the DfE / NGA guidance, including who (in terms of the act) the duty holders are.
